We are located in the historic Ocean Rose Inn across from the sea wall a short walk from the iconic Narragansett Towers. Our upscale-casual, full-service restaurant offers an expansive menu and daily specials. We feature eclectic American cuisine including seafood, pasta, steaks, and salads which are creatively prepared.
We utilize the freshest ingredients, never frozen, and locally sourced when possible. We have several outdoor dining areas and during the summer months, join us at our outside bar for an after-beach appetizer or lounge in an Adirondack chair, sipping a glass of wine with your toes in the grass while you gaze at the ocean. This well-established chef-owned restaurant is open daily, year-round and is the perfect place for your next dining experience!
Marty McElroy, owner & chef, has spent his entire career in hospitality. His first experience in the restaurant industry began at a very young age working in his Uncle’s bar in upstate New York. After graduating from high school he decided to pursue his passion by attending Johnson & Wales and earning his bachelors degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. To expand his experience and skill set, Marty moved to the culinary mecca New York City. In late 2001, Marty chose to return to Rhode Island and fulfill his life-long dream of owning his own restaurant. In 2010, that dream became a reality when Marty became the of owner of Turtle Soup!
In 2015, his dream continued when he opened a second restaurant, Tortuga Restaurant, in nearby Pier Market Place of Narragansett. Tortuga Restaurant is an upscale Mexican restaurant with a Central American flair. Marty, his wife Jen, and their daughter Elle, feel lucky to be able to live and work in the beautiful seaside town of Narragansett!
